Those of you who’ve read our first issue will recall the powerful landscape paintings of Francie’s that we featured.  For those the NYC tri-state area you’ll have an opportunity to see Francie’s work first hand at an upcoming show. “Horizons” will run from Dec  17th – Jan 27th at the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich CT. 

Also featured in the show will be the work of Diana Freedman-Shea, Yuka Imata, Kathryn Sanfilippo and Cheryl Warrick.  

There will be an opening reception Thursday Dec 17^th 6pm -8pm.

My good friend Susie Floros, made a stop at Kassia Meador’s “Instamatic” photo show in New York this week. Check out Susie’s Burton Blog for the story and images!

Even those who know me are often unaware of my sweet tooth for pop. Not necessarily your top 40 pop (though some of that is good too), but more syth-infused electro-pop.

I was introduced to the Swedish (of course they are) pop group The Sound of Arrows last fall and spent the entire snow season bouncing and smiling on the lift while playing “M.A.G.I.C.” and “Danger!” on repeat. They just released another single and it is equally as wonderful. This one’s called “Into the Clouds” and it will be making it’s way “Onto My iPod”. Oh and the video is pretty rad too! (it’s what you get when one member of the group is also a graphic artist and animator)
